Coach Connor has been in education for sixteen years and this is his 9th season as Head Coach for the Boys Varsity Basketball team at Lone Star. His teams have won district twice, made it to playoffs four times, and Regional Finals once. Coach Connor received a bachelor’s degree in from Middle Tennessee State University where he also played basketball. He is happily married to wife, Nicole, and they have one son named Mekhi. Weekends at the Connor household include family time spent watching sports and firing up the grill.

Coach Anderson is entering her 11th year in Education as a teacher, mentor, & coach; some of which was spent working abroad. This year will be Coach Anderson´s first year as Lone Star Girls Basketball Head Coach. She spent last year as the Varsity Assistant.  Tavasha played Division I basketball at Louisiana Tech under Teresa Weatherspoon´s leadership. Coach Anderson received a Bachelors of Science in Clinical Kinesiology and a Masters of Arts in Education from Louisiana Tech University. She also earned a Masters of Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington. Coach Anderson and her wife Nikki have four children; Austin, Jaiden, Kendall, & Pierce. They also have a Goldendoodle named Dallas. In her spare time, Coach Anderson enjoys traveling, listening to music, and spending time in nature.

This is Coach Hill’s 6th year in Education. Kambri began her career at Trent Middle School in Frisco. After her third year at Trent, Coach Hill stepped into the Girls Coordinator position and led the program for the next two years. Coach Hill is beginning her first year at Lone Star High School as a Varsity Basketball Assistant and Softball Assistant. She received a B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Arkansas Tech University, where she also played softball. Coach Hill and her wife Janie have two dogs, Mali and Tito. Coach Hill enjoys spending time working out, hanging out with friends and family, snowboarding, and trying new restaurants.

In addition to being the Boys Varsity Assistant Coach, Jarred Hawkins, is Head Coach for Cross Country at Lone Star. Coach Hawkins earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Texas A&M University. He has 16 years of experience in education with 9 years being spent in FISD and six at Lone Star. He and his wife Jonea, who is a SPED teacher at Lone Star, have two children. They have a son named Jameson (4), and daughter Johnna (2). In his spare time, Coach Hawkins can be found coaching his own children, dining with his wife or listening to music.

Assistant

Coach Robinson has 10 years of experience in coaching and education, three of which have been spent at Lone Star High School.  He is the Boys Head JV Coach for Basketball and NOSE/DT/PUNT Coach for Football. Rashad played football at The University of Tulsa where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science. Coach Robinson and his wife, Morgan, have one child, Laila. A few of his favorite past times include traveling, fishing, cooking, working out, and spending time with his family.

This is Coach Spurgeon’s second year in education and coaching. He earned a bachelor’s degree in advertising at The University of Texas at Arlington. While at UTA, Nathaniel played on the Men’s Basketball team and worked for two years as a student assistant in player development which included handling day-to-day operational tasks. Coach Spurgeon and his wife, Hailey, met in college. When Coach Spurgeon isn’t courtside, he enjoys spending time with family, playing video games, watching sports, and hanging out with friends.

Coach Gottardy has been in Education for 10 years, and this is his 9th year at Lone Star. Coach Gottardy has coached JV and Freshman Girls Basketball for 9 yrs along with Volleyball Assistant. He went to Texas Tech and graduated with mathematics, kinesiology, and education degrees. (major: math, Minor: kinesiology and education) Coach Gottardy and his wife, Lindsey, have two sons Miles (3) and Landon (1). Traveling, playing with his sons and working out are a few of Coach Gottardy’s favorite past times.
